Maninjau Lake is one of the stunning lake in Indonesia. This lake is a volcanic lake at an altitude of 461.50 meters above sea level. Extent of about 99.5 km and its depth 495 yards. The lake is located in Tanjung Raya district, Agam regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Lake Maninjau natural tourist sites are also made up of hills and peaks called Puncak Lawang.

A famous novelist who wrote a book on Indonesia phenomenal titled "Tenggelamnya Kapal Van der Wijk". Other figures who were born here are Rangkayo Rasuna Said, one of Indonesia's National Heroes. His name has been immortalized as one of the main streets in the capital Jakarta.
