Tourism destination in Yogyakarta is not only centered in the city and the South beach. In a secluded, leisure travelers can find a natural beautiful enough to be enjoyed. One of recreation in the form of waterfalls that are in the area Paliyan, Gunungkidul. Gunungkidul is arid, but the place has an underground river whose waters have not decreased even though the dry season.
The name of the Waterfalls is Sri gethuk. Sri Gethuk Waterfalls or by any other name Slempret Waterfalls is unique because it forked in two-hole cliff and emerge from between the arid karst cliffs. Water tejun has a height of about 80 meters and is located right on the banks of the River Oyo. There are three springs that burst around Sri Gethuk waterfall, which springs Dung Poh, Ngandong and Ngumbul.
Sri Gethuk Waterfalls can be reached from the Wonosari city to the west through Playen, about 5 km or from Yogyakarta can turn left at the Ivory T-junction towards Playen, from the Playen take the path to Paliyan about 1 km until you find signposts to Sri Gethuk Waterfalls. Follow the signposts to the west, approximately 7km. Signposts to the numerous Waterfalls are very easy to follow even by visitors who do not know the area.
Water flowing from the cliff that has a height of 58 meters this fall to stretch Oya river with an exotic beauty is tinged with the gurgling sound of water plus a waving palm leaf garnish. Oyo trip down the river to the mouth of the Sri Gethuk Waterfalls is one of appeal for travelers trying to by boat. Boat rental price offered for one person was Rp 5,000 and entrance to the falls around Rp 3.000.
